Delete your account

• Want a copy of your data? Export it first — in the Android app: Settings → “Download my data.” Deleted accounts can’t be exported.
• Hosting any events? They are not automatically canceled when you leave. Cancel them first if you don’t want them to keep running without you.
• Own any circles? Nothing to do — ownership hands off automatically (see below).

1. 1Go to utahcircles.com/settings/danger and sign in if asked.
2. 2Under “Delete account,” choose Delete my account.
3. 3Type your handle to confirm, then confirm the deletion.

1. 1Open the Profile tab and tap the settings gear.
2. 2In the Account section, tap Delete account.
3. 3Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete forever.

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way to reactivate.

• Your profile, display name, bio, avatar, links, email address, date of birth, chosen home city, interests, and any Google sign-in link are removed, and your password is erased. Your handle and email are freed up for future use.
• You’re signed out of every device at that moment.
• Circles you own pass to their longest-serving moderator, or the oldest remaining member; a circle with no other members is archived.
• Chat messages you sent stay in their rooms under our retention policy, but are anonymized — they display as “Deleted user” with no link to you.
• Events you host remain live unless you cancel them before deleting.
• Only an anonymous placeholder remains so shared history keeps working — it contains nothing that identifies you. Details in the privacy policy.

If you no longer have access to your account, email hello@utahcircles.com from the email address the account was registered with and we’ll handle the deletion for you.
