Utah Circles

Terms of use

Last updated September 8, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Utah Circles. By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Utah Circles on the web, on iPhone and iPad, or on Android, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. Questions: hello@utahcircles.com.

Who can use Utah Circles

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. You agree to give accurate registration details, to keep your password to yourself, and to be responsible for everything done through your account. One person, one account.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Utah Circles carries content that people post themselves: events, circles, chat messages, photos, and profiles. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to post, send, or share anything that is:

  • harassing, bullying, threatening, or intended to intimidate another person
  • hateful or demeaning toward people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
  • sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexualising a minor in any way
  • violent, gory, or encouraging self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
  • promoting illegal activity, illegal drugs, weapons sales, or fraud
  • spam, scams, phishing, or bulk unsolicited promotion
  • impersonating another person, organisation, or Utah Circles itself
  • someone else's private information — address, phone number, or anything else — shared without their consent
  • infringing someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights

You also agree not to stalk, dox, or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop, and not to use Utah Circles to organise or promote any of the above.

Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it

Every event, circle, chat message, and profile can be reported from its own menu, and any member can be blocked from their profile. Blocking is immediate and mutual: neither of you sees the other’s profile, events, or messages, and the blocked person is not told. Blocked accounts are listed under Settings → Blocked users.

We review reports and act on them, normally within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and accounts that post it can be suspended or permanently terminated without notice — including on a first offence for anything involving threats, sexual content involving minors, or targeted harassment. Circle organisers can also remove content and members within their own circles. Reporting something you believe is illegal, or a threat to someone’s safety, is always welcome; contact us directly at hello@utahcircles.com if it is urgent.

Your content

What you post stays yours. You give Utah Circles a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, and display it for the purpose of running the service — showing your message in the room you sent it to, your event on the events feed, your avatar on your profile. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies already made by other users or kept in backups for a short period.

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

Events and meeting people

Events on Utah Circles are organised by their hosts, not by us. Some listings are gathered from public calendars. We don’t verify hosts, venues, or attendees, and we are not responsible for what happens at an event. Use ordinary judgement when meeting people you don’t know: meet in public where you can, tell someone where you’re going, and leave if something feels wrong.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app, or from the web. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, messages, RSVPs, and the circles you own. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, and we may stop offering the service, or any part of it, at any time.

The service is provided as is

Utah Circles is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of other users, event hosts, or venues. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top always shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Your privacy is covered separately in the privacy policy. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States. Reach us at hello@utahcircles.com.
