Del Dicho al Hecho explores the intersection of textile heritage, visual art, and popular wisdom through a series of artistically intervened rebozos by Oaxacan artist Luis Rosado Montes. These traditional textiles, woven on backstrap looms using ancestral Zapotec techniques, are overlaid with imagery inspired by Mexican sayings and proverbs. The exhibition invites viewers to consider how traditional objects can be reinterpreted as living cultural documents where memory, language, and identity converge. It also reflects on the experience of migration and cultural continuity as traditions evolve in new contexts.
