Head over to the Bingham Canyon Mine to see one of the world's largest open-pit excavations. You can explore a variety of exhibits that detail the history of the mine, its operations, and how copper is processed for modern use. A shuttle will take you up to the mine overlook to see the massive scale of the site firsthand. It is a self-guided experience that usually takes around an hour to complete. Tickets are $6.00 per person, and children under 5 are free, with all proceeds supporting the Kennecott Charitable Foundation.
