Sandpainting | Folk Art Workshops @ Chase Home

About this event

Come spend the afternoon learning about the history and traditions behind Navajo sandpainting. Cultural educator Lapita Frewin will walk you through the process of creating your own artwork using non-sacred symbols on matted sandpaper. You will use stencils to guide your design, making it a great project for all skill levels. It is a wonderful way to connect with local folk arts and try your hand at a unique craft. Ages 8+ (youth must be accompanied by an adult).
